Description:
The Cohasset Housing Authority consists of five (5) members, with four (4) members elected by the voters of Cohasset and one (1) member appointed by the Department of Community Affairs.  The Authority is responsible for determining the need for community housing in the Town, as set forth in Chapter 121B of the Massachusetts General Laws. The Authority is also responsible for obtaining approval and funding for community housing projects from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Community Affairs and/or the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The Authority oversees the construction of community housing projects and shall be responsible for their operation, maintenance, and administration.
