Basic Parking Rules
**You should never park in a handicapped parking
spot without a placard.
**No Parking is allowed on sidewalks or crosswalks (unless specifically marked for parking, for example the parking spaces on Elm Street).
**No Parking is ever allowed in a fire lane - even if you are live parked or running into a business for
only a minute.
**Never block a fire hydrant.
**Pay attention to the parking signs.

Sandy Beach, Government Island, Black Rock Beach and Wadleigh Park - You must have a current Cohasset All Facilities Sticker on your car to park in these locations. Stickers are available to residents and must be renewed every year by July 1st. The sticker must be placed on the front windshield, in the lower left hand corner on the driver's side window. You will be ticketed if the sticker is not in the proper location. Overnight Parking Ban - Every year from November 15th - April 15th, there is no overnight parking allowed on the street anywhere in Town from 2AM - 6AM. This is to accomodate snow emergencies.
