Government Island Advisory Committee

The Government Island Advisory Committee consists of seven (7) members, one (1) of whom shall be the Harbor Master. Each of the other members are appointed by the Selectmen for a three (3) year term, with two (2) members appointed each year.
The Government Island Advisory Committee keeps the Selectmen and the Town Manager advised of the condition of Government Island for the recreational use of Cohasset residents. The Committee also makes suggestions to the Board of Selectmen and the Town Manager regarding the maintenance and improvement of Government Island and proposes any capital expenditures necessary for maintenance and improvement of Government Island.
