Historical Commission
The Historical Commission consists of seven (7) members, each appointed for a three (3) year term by the Board of Selectmen, with two (2) members appointed for each of two (2) successive years, and three (3) members appointed the following year.
The Historical Commission identifies and records the historic landmarks of Cohasset and develops a program for the preservation and maintenance of the archaeological and historical assets of the Town.
The Commission may also acquire in the name of the Town by gift, purchase, grant, bequest, devise, lease, or otherwise, the fee or lesser interest in any real or personal property of significant historical value and may manage such property.
