Registrars of Voters The Registrars of Voters consist of the Town Clerk and three (3) other persons appointed for three (3) year terms by the Board of Selectmen, with one (1) member appointed each year as prescribed in Chapter 51, Section 15, of the Massachusetts General Laws. The Registrars of Voters are responsible for maintaining accurate lists of qualified voters of the Town and providing facilities for new citizens of the Town to register for the purpose of voting. The Registrars of Voters conducts an annual census to determine the number of persons in the Town seventeen (17) years of age or older, and have other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to them under Chapter 51 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
