Zoning Board of Appeals 
The Zoning Board of Appeals consists of six (6) members (3 full members and 3 associate members) appointed for three year terms by the Board of Selectmen. The Committee, which usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month is responsible for holding public hearings as required for the following purposes:
- To hear and decide appeals from the decision of the Building Inspector concerning issuance or denial of building permits on the basis of conformity with zoning laws;
- To hear and decide applications for special permits;
- To authorize or deny variances from the zoning law; and
- To fulfill such other responsibilities as are required under Chapter 40A of the Massachusetts General Laws.
